Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Electrical Engineer with a strong background in electrical engineering and expertise in electro-mechanical industrial products. The ideal candidate will play a key role in electronic design for new product development while also providing support to customers and production as needed. This position reports to the Director of Engineering.

Key Responsibilities:

Product Development:

Engineer and design microprocessor-based, mixed signal circuit boards for integration into client products.

Write product documentation, including project logs, test reports, and design evaluations.

Build and test prototype circuits.

Assist Manufacturing with bills of material, documentation, and test fixtures.

Follow the design and development process for all engineering projects.

Meet objectives related to specification, application, development cost, and unit cost targets.

Implement design concepts and fundamental technology for product development.

Report on project status.

Engineering Support:

Provide electrical engineering support to production and customers for existing products.

Assist Manufacturing with bills of material, documentation, and test fixtures.

Work with Manufacturing, Operations, and Quality departments to implement process improvements and new product integration.

Documentation and Compliance

Maintain engineering documentation and data systems.

Support ISO documentation and ensure compliance with outside certification agencies.

Educational Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering; advanced degree is a plus.

Qualifications:

10+ years of professional experience.

In-depth knowledge of engineering design, test, and validation procedures.

Strong project management and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills.

Ability to prioritize, negotiate, and collaborate with a variety of internal and external stakeholders.

Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and dedication to the company's mission.

10+ years of experience with electro-mechanical applications.

Solid theoretical background.

Experience in the following areas:

Circuit board design, schematic generation, and PCB layout tools (Orcad/Altium).

Open/closed-loop servo mechanisms, motor design, and inverter development.

Power supply development.

Software development:

Industrial process control.

Ability to multitask and thrive in a hands-on environment.

Effective in both team-oriented and independent work settings.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift and move equipment up to 50 lbs.

Ability to stand, sit, and walk for extended periods.

Regular exposure to manufacturing areas requiring personal protective equipment.

Work Environment:

Office environment with regular exposure to manufacturing areas.

Ability to communicate effectively in person and over the phone.

Use of a keyboard and ability to read from a computer screen and reports.

Predictable and reliable attendance required.

Position requires 40 hours/5 days a week in-person at the company's facility.
