Qualifications
- Professional licensure in Maryland is a MUST
- B.S. in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills with the ability to adapt communication styles for various audiences.
- Strong interest and ability to mentor and teach others in their respective disciplines.
- Ability to understand, interpret, and develop site plans and permits.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple concurrent assignments.
Responsibilities
- Lead civil design and permitting efforts for energy projects within the Mid-Atlantic region, including the design of erosion and sediment control, grading, stormwater management drainage, and associated civil elements.
- Be an enthusiastic and dependable leader with a passion for growth.
- Attend project meetings and support presentations on specific projects/concepts.
- Under supervision, review and approve scopes, budgets, and schedules for assignments.
- Ensure technical accuracy and QA/QC of work.
- Manage moderate to small projects and/or larger tasks within a project.
- Mentor and manage a team of entry level and mid-level engineers, architects and designers.
- Assist in preparing proposals to provide professional services or obtain funding for assignments.
- Work towards receiving general direction on key objectives and be capable of scoping, costing, and completing projects.
- Develop knowledge in contract management, invoicing, status reports, accounts receivable, and related accounting needs.
- Lead the design of Erosion and Sediment Control Plans for linear utility and transportation projects.
- Lead the design of Site Plans, including grading, stormwater management features, and access roads.
- Perform site development design plan reviews, including constructability, drainage, grading, and utility coordination.
