Harper Harrison is actively searching for a Water/Wastewater Treatment (Senior) Associate to join our client with an office based out of Fairfax, VA. The client we represent havedeacades of specialized expertise, focusing exclusively on water and wastewater engineering, delivering sustainable and cost-effective solutions that improve communities and safeguard the environment. During the second half of 2024 they have been at the forefront of taking on cutting-edge projects like; treatment facilities to innovative stormwater resilience and reuse projects.
Responsibilites:
- Act as a key liaison for municipal clients across the greater Virginia area, working with the Sales leadership to identify and pursue project opportunities, drive growth initiatives, and oversee project delivery.
- Manage water/wastewater design, permitting, and construction services from early concept development through project completion.
- Lead project teams, mentor junior staff, and coordinate and review project deliverables to ensure quality and alignment with client needs.
- Collaborate with technical specialists, project team members, and delivery managers to ensure seamless project execution.
- Prepare design drawings and specifications for complex, multi-discipline projects.
- Oversee project budgets, schedules, and risk management to ensure successful project delivery.
- Perform high-level planning and program analysis, including the preparation of technical documents and reports.
- Stay engaged in the water/wastewater industry by monitoring emerging technologies, participating in research and development opportunities, and contributing to professional societies and conferences.
- Support business development through strategic planning, marketing efforts, and preparation of proposals in response to client RFPs.
- Interface with clients and government officials to address technical questions and provide project updates to upper management.
Requirements:
- Virginia Professional Enginerring License (or ability to obtain in first 6-months of employment) is required
- Bachelor's degree in civil, chemical, environmental or related engineering degree.
- 10+ years of related experience with at least 3+ years of project management experience
- PMP (PMI), CCM, or DBIA certifications will be viewed favourably
