Job Opportunity: Senior Medical Planner
Location: Atlanta, GA

A globally recognized firm is seeking a Senior Medical Planner to join their Atlanta team. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to contribute to the planning and design of cutting-edge healthcare facilities.


As a Senior Medical Planner, you will:

  • Execute all aspects of the design process and project complexities, ensuring adherence to project goals and design excellence.
  • Provide expertise in master planning, design, and medical architecture for diverse healthcare projects, including inpatient hospitals, diagnostic/treatment departments, and logistics areas.
  • Collaborate with teams to design projects that meet client needs, budgets, timelines, and quality standards.
  • Guide clients through programming processes to determine healthcare facility goals and objectives.
  • Lead programming, concept design, schematic design, and design development phases.
  • Create room and departmental layouts and assist in selecting building systems.
  • Ensure QA/QC reviews, compliance with FGI codes, and integration of program requirements during construction documentation.
  • Manage data collection through interviews, surveys, focus groups, and post-occupancy evaluations.
  • Mentor junior staff, coordinate with partners and consultants, and actively participate in design reviews and client engagements.

Qualifications

  • A professional degree in architecture or a related discipline.
  • 10-15+ years of healthcare design experience.
  • Proficiency in Revit, BIM360, and other 3D visualization tools (e.g., SketchUp, Rhino).
  • Knowledge of building codes, FGI Guidelines, life safety compliance, and functional design principles.
  • Familiarity with ACHA guidelines and site analysis processes.
  • A professional architectural license (preferred).
  • LEED GA certification within six months of hire.
  • ACHA accreditation (preferred, required for FL office roles).
