Senior Mechanical Design SME (Confidential Client)

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Mechanical Design Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our client's team in the EMEA region. This individual will play a key role in driving innovation and ensuring the technical delivery of cutting-edge mechanical systems. The role involves collaborating with senior stakeholders, overseeing mechanical specifications, and contributing to the continuous improvement of project designs.

Key Responsibilities:
* Lead mechanical system design and development for major projects.
* Provide expertise in building systems, equipment selection, and vendor relations.
* Mentor and guide junior staff, ensuring adherence to industry standards.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve engineering methods.
* Conduct reviews to ensure compliance with technical and quality standards.

Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (Chartered status preferred).
* 5+ years of experience managing mechanical design in data centres or similar industries.
* Expertise in building codes, ASHRAE, NFPA, and related standards.
* Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office.
* Strong communication skills and fluency in English (additional languages are a plus).
* Willingness to travel up to 50%.
