Senior Project Manager - Land Development/Site Civil

On behalf of a leading national consultancy, we are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join their team in the Orlando area. This role is ideal for a motivated professional with a blend of technical expertise and business acumen-a true "seller-doer" who thrives on driving projects to success while fostering client relationships and contributing to business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Leadership: Oversee and manage complex land and site development projects, including commercial, mixed-use, multi-family, and residential developments.
  • Strategic Oversight: Direct the preparation of plans and specifications for infrastructure components such as paving, grading, drainage, water lines, and sanitary sewers.
  • Business Development: Cultivate and expand client relationships, identify new business opportunities, and contribute to the firm's growth in the Tampa Bay region.
  • Regulatory Coordination: Manage permitting processes and maintain compliance with local and state regulatory requirements.
  • Client Relations: Serve as the primary liaison for clients, ensuring consistent communication and alignment with project goals.
  • Team Management: Provide leadership to project teams, fostering collaboration and ensuring successful outcomes.
  • Financial and Administrative Duties: Manage project reporting, budgeting, invoicing, and timeline adherence.
  • Technical Contributions: Perform oversight for junior engineers and actively get involved with the production of drainage design and ICPR modeling as required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) licensure in Florida.
  • 7-15 years of experience in land and site development, with a proven track record of project management success.
  • Strong business development skills, including experience building and maintaining client relationships.
  • Proficiency in hydrology and hydraulic modeling software.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Expertise in local design and permitting processes.
  • Experience with residential, commercial, mixed-use, and multi-family developments.
  • Familiarity with municipal or government agency projects is an advantage.
