Senior Electrical Engineer
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Electrical Engineer with extensive expertise in electrical engineering and electro-mechanical industrial products. This role will serve as a key contributor to new product development team while also providing support to both customers and production teams as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Product Development:
- Design and engineer microprocessor-based, mixed-signal circuit boards for integration into new and existing products.
- Develop comprehensive product documentation, including project logs, test reports, and design evaluations.
- Build and test prototype circuits to support product innovation.
- Assist Manufacturing with bills of materials, documentation, and test fixtures.
- Follow established design and development processes for all engineering projects.
- Ensure project objectives align with specification, application, development cost, and unit cost targets.
- Implement design concepts and core technologies for product development.
- Provide regular updates on project status and progress.
Engineering Support:
- Offer electrical engineering support for existing products, aiding both production teams and customers.
- Assist Manufacturing with bill of material updates, documentation, and test fixture development.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, operations, and quality teams to implement process improvements and new product integration.
Documentation and Compliance:
- Maintain accurate engineering documentation and data systems.
- Ensure ISO documentation and compliance with certification agencies are upheld.
Education Requirements::
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required; advanced degree preferred.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 10+ years of professional experience in electrical engineering.
- Strong knowledge of engineering design, testing, and validation procedures.
- Proven skills in project management, problem-solving, and analytical thinking.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage negotiations, and collaborate with diverse internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated integrity, credibility, and commitment to the company's mission.
- 10+ years of experience working with electro-mechanical applications.
- Strong theoretical background in electrical engineering principles.
Technical Experience:
- Expertise in circuit board design, schematic generation, and PCB layout tools such as OrCAD and Altium.
- Knowledge of open/closed-loop servo mechanisms, motor design, and inverter development.
- Experience in power supply development and software development using C.
- Familiarity with industrial process control systems.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and thrive in a hands-on engineering environment.
- Strong team collaboration skills with the ability to perform independently when required.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and move equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Capable of standing, sitting, and walking for extended periods.
- Regular exposure to manufacturing areas requiring personal protective equipment.
Work Environment:
- Office-based role with frequent exposure to manufacturing areas.
- Regular use of telecommunication tools to communicate effectively.
- Consistent attendance and reliable presence at the company's facility for 40 hours/5 days per week required.
