Role Summary:
The Electrical Project Engineer will play a pivotal role in the design and execution of engineering projects. You will work closely with project teams and clients, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will also contribute to process improvements and cost optimizations across various engineering systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with project teams to develop action plans and manage projects from concept to completion.
- Prepare detailed technical specifications, drawing packages, and permit submittals for assigned projects.
- Conduct evaluations, prepare reports, and deliver innovative solutions to meet client needs.
- Act as the primary liaison with clients, ensuring clear communication and project alignment.
- Oversee and respond to RFIs, submittals, and contract modifications.
- Analyze systems to identify improvements in efficiency, quality, and cost.
- Participate in site visits, agency meetings, and municipal meetings.
- Coordinate efforts with other engineering teams and departments as needed.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) registration or eligibility to acquire registration.
- A minimum of 10 years of professional engineering experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Expertise in design software such as AutoCAD, AutoCAD Electrical, and/or Revit.
- Strong knowledge of power distribution, motor controls, lighting, and grounding system design.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Consulting engineering experience within the water and wastewater sectors.
- Familiarity with the permitting process, including coordination with local, state, and federal agencies.
