Instrumentation and Control (I&C) engineer, P.E you will apply your unique skills and insights as part of project teams that span across the United States. Your I&C skills will support designs for complex wastewater treatment plants, water treatment plants, pump stations, and conveyance systems.
* Provide instrumentation and control (I&C) system engineering and design for water and wastewater projects.
* Work includes both in-plant and remote telemetry (SCADA) projects with the potential for HMI/PLC programming.
* Develop Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs); prepare I&C system specifications; prepare cost estimate for projects; and review and approve documentation developed by contractors.
* Inspect, test, and approve of I&C work provided by contractors at water and wastewater facilities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Instrumentation and Control, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering.
- 10-15 years of experience in instrumentation and control systems for water and wastewater treatment facilities, pumping stations, and related infrastructure.
- Professional Engineer (PE) registration.
- Expertise in designing industrial I&C systems, instrument selection and specification, and communication network design for water and wastewater facilities.
- Proficient in developing, interpreting, and understanding P&IDs and control schematics.
- Strong ability to work independently and manage medium to large I&C systems.
- Demonstrated ability to balance innovation and practicality in I&C design and construction.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to listen, communicate, and collaborate effectively within project teams.
- Ability to perform under pressure and manage conflicting project demands.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a focus on clarity and detail in project documentation.
- Proven leadership in mentoring peers and subordinates, influencing positive outcomes, and managing complex projects.
- Proficiency in MS Word, Access, and Excel.
