Director of Planning

Director of Planning | Hybrid (Flexible) | $120K-150K (USD)

This firm is looking for a Director of Planning to join their Chantilly, Virginia office. They are committed to delivering design excellence on a broad range of project types and hiring the best and brightest in the industry.

• Multidisciplinary firm with projects in education, data centers, multi-family, retail, and industrial.

• Located in Chantilly, VA with projects around the DMV area.

About the role:

• You will be responsible for managing a variety of clients.
• Would be responsible for coordinating between clients, internal teams, and additional project consultants.
• Would be a part of growing out the land use planning practice and participating in business development.
• You would assist developing junior staff and leading teams.

Qualifications:

• MUST have 10+ years of experience working in both the public and private sectors.
• Experience designing in Master Planning, Urban Design, Landscape Architecture, Mixed-Use Developments, Commercial, Campus projects preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Planning, Landscape Architecture or Architecture.
• Previous experience with master planning, land use planning, zoning and entitlements, site suitability studies, density studies, design charettes, concept plans, etc.
• Licensed Landscape Architect (preferred)
• Need a candidate who can submit the zoning to a private developer, knowledge of the local market, and entitlements experience.
