What You'll Be Doing
As a Automation Engineer (Delta V) based in New Jersey, you will play a pivotal role in the execution and enhancement of DeltaV control systems for biotech manufacturing projects. Your responsibilities will encompass:
- Designing, developing, and implementing DeltaV control system solutions for industrial automation projects.
- Programming and configuring DeltaV Distributed Control Systems (DCS) to meet project specifications and client requirements.
- Conducting system integration, testing, and commissioning activities to ensure functionality and performance.
- Creating and executing validation protocols and test scripts to verify system functionality and regulatory compliance.
- Collaborating with project teams, including engineers, technicians, and clients, to define project scope, goals, and deliverables.
- Providing technical support and troubleshooting assistance during installation, startup, and operational phases.
- Developing and maintaining documentation, including system design specifications, user manuals, and as-built drawings.
- Implementing upgrades and modifications to existing DeltaV systems based on operational needs and industry standards.
- Training end-users and client personnel on system operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting procedures.
- Staying informed about industry trends, advancements in automation technologies, and regulatory requirements relevant to DeltaV systems.
What We're Looking For
We are seeking a highly proficient Automation Engineer with extensive experience in DeltaV systems and a background in the pharmaceutical or biotech sectors. Key qualifications include:
- Analytical Skills: Demonstrates adept problem-solving abilities to effectively tackle intricate system challenges.
- Technical Proficiency: Possesses expertise in the design, programming, and implementation of DeltaV systems.
- Industry Knowledge: Proven experience in pharmaceutical or biotech manufacturing, with a thorough understanding of cGMP standards.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of practical experience working with automation systems, specifically DeltaV.
- Communication Abilities: Excellent interpersonal skills with a proven ability to communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and team members.
