About the Role:
We are representing a distinguished engineering and design firm seeking a Senior Project Manager & Practice Leader to oversee and expand their Land Development and Site Civil practice in Charlotte, NC. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage complex land development and site civil projects from planning through completion.
- Provide strategic leadership to enhance the firm's presence in the Charlotte market.
- Oversee project budgets, schedules, and resource allocation to ensure successful delivery.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships, serving as a trusted advisor to municipalities, developers, and private clients.
- Mentor and develop junior engineers and project managers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and professional growth.
- Prepare and review engineering plans, reports, and specifications.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Identify business development opportunities, prepare proposals, and support marketing efforts.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in North Carolina or the ability to obtain within six months.
- Ten or more years of experience in land development and site civil engineering projects.
- Proven leadership experience in project management and team development.
- Strong knowledge of stormwater management, grading, utilities, and permitting processes.
- Excellent communication, business development, and client management skills.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and other relevant engineering software.
